I hate Wong Yushan.
Because she posted this link on her blog and since last night I’ve not had a good night’s sleep. I am now obliged to pass on the curse.
Ok, so I’ve only cleared Batch 1, but I’ld like to make some comments due to two people feeling they’re idiots who can’t solve it (and also to put those who think they’re so smart to have cleared all questions in their place).
It’s a pretty innovative way of presenting riddles, instead of the traditional visual puzzles or language tricks. But the content of it can sometimes make you wonder why you’re killing yourself over it. The first 8 levels for me were the most challenging ones in Batch 1. After Level 11, it seemed pretty much straightforward. Being stuck at certain levels didn’t make me mad, what made me really fume was when I got answers by being “DUH”. I had to practically think like a moron for 2 of the levels in order to get the answers. Not very satisfiying.
Apparently, the trick to solving the riddles is not to look too hard, which is difficult because that goes against almost everyone’s nature when approaching problems! So I suppose that’s the real challenge of this html riddle game, not the answers in themselves. So for those who called themselves “stupid” because they were unable to solve a level, STOP IT. This is not a game created with a standard measured against an average IQ or something, it was created by a guy called Weff Jebster (I believe there are other riddles by other creators too). That means most of the questions would have been written from his perspective, but everyone has their own way of solving things. Quit beating yourself up about it!
